Happy Birthday Drennan

Happy Birthday Drennan!!! This card is for my new Team Lead who I report to right now. I say right now because we are always changing things at my job. I used Coffee Riley because he seems laid back and this is for a guy so no need for too much embellishment. The card stock was from DCWV Alphabet stack!!! Love this stack! All of the card stock in it is black and silver and white. I purchased it with the 12 by 12 and the 4 x 6 just had to have it. This paper was appropriate to use because that is what Drennan is all about. If he does not hear the "sparky" in my voice he quickly sends me a message on my screen saying "I am so sad that you don't sound "sparky" today!!! At the bottom of the card I stamped Chocolate Moose anyone from Hanna Stamps Riley sentiments. In the inside of the card I used white ink from ... and made a silouette of Hammock Riley and the sentiment from MFT Time for Bubbly set. I gave it to Drennan at work and he loved it. I told him that he should not have been at work today and he said that I was so right and took my advise to go home right now... (Actually he was off today he just came in to finish a report!!!) But he made me feel like I talked him into it...too funny.

Riley Swap at SCS

Ok, I have truly fallen in love with Riley from Hanna Stamps! There is a Riley Swap at Splitcoaststampers. My first swap!! This is where you send in 6 cards, which one goes to the Hostess of the Swap and the other 5 go to other stampers that are participating. Then you receive 5 new ones back!!! So, the more you send... the more you receive!!!! So my cards that I am making are with Hula Sophie!!! I love her she makes me feel like getting away. Now what is so funny is that I was confused about the swap, at first, because I thought it was just make 6 and swap so I inked up 6 different Rileys. Then I realized that it was suppose to be the same stamp on 6 different cards, duh!!!

Breakfast for me!!!

Breakfast in bed? No breakfast in the craft room!!!! My loving son, Courtlan, cooked me breakfast all by himself!!!! Awwwww!!! He cooked me bacon, eggs and crescent rolls.. Don't worry I watched him the whole time from my craft table while I was working on the Riley Swap.. He was so happy. He even gave the rolls a real nice tan!!!

Photo Album Card

My friend Janine wanted me to make a card for her boss as a going away card (or shall i say scrapbook her a card!!!) She wanted 4 pictures of the her boss with plenty of embellishments and a page for each picture. I call that an album. We got in from my Mom's at 8 pm and I had to get right on this card!!!

I went to Hobby Lobby earlier in the week and purchased the Petaloo Box Blend Large Sunken Treasure. Loved it!! They were so cute!!! I got to get all the sets because you can mix and match. I also added gems on some of the flowers since she wanted some bling!!! I used cardstock from DCVW with matching ribbon. I bought the sheets individually at Hobby Lobby too. I could not find them in a pack. The clear scripture stickers came from JoAnns and matted them on card stock from DCWVas well.

Janine said that her Boss loved it!!! It was fun to make!!!

Nestabilities came in!!

I am so excited I just received my first set of Nestabilites. I purchased the Large Classic Scallop Squares. I had no idea about the tan mat so now I go to get that so that I can emboss... stay tuned for pictures... I am trying to step it up to more elegant cards so I also purchased for my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Just love the way it makes cards look so elegant dotted up!!! Stay tunes for pics... I got my order from Hanna Stamps!!! All her punches were on sale for 50%. I understand why... Nestablities is easier and takes up less room...

Hanna Stamps July Release Party!!!

Well today was the July Hanna Release party. I got very emotional!! The Bridal Hanna is so beautiful. I felt like I was in the wedding begging for tissue.. I added Bridal Hanna, Baseball Hanna, and Lazy Hanna to my basket. We had a semi after party where we brought up 70s and 80s trend. I really want Kristi creator of Hanna Stamps to bring out an Afro Hanna of some sort. I would love to see her more ethnic. I am going on vacation next week to our first annual Big Mamas family reunion in Orlando, Florida. Now this is a bit much for me... See I really don't go anywhere. But I will be back with plenty of pictures. What is so funny is I already started looking for craft stores down there!!! I am working on a project that I will post shortly. It is out recipe books for the reunion. I will post pictures and ingredients shortly. I have to make 14 recipe books holding 20 recipes each out of composition books. Interesting!!!
